Websites are important asset for anything marketable. Customers expect a website from most any business, and knowing what your customers want is valuable information. Having a website is great, but to take that website and make it the most powerful marketing tool in your arsenal, search analytics is a must.
What are search analytics?
Search analytics are basically all of the measurable metric data (such as page views, how long a user visited your site, etc.). With the proper analytics software, this information can be compiled into graphs and images to make it easier to decipher.
What are they used for?
Search analytics shed light on a non-negligible portion of just how your users interact with your site. It helps webmasters identify the most successful (and least successful) pages on your website, to extrapolate what works and what doesn’t. It gives you deeper insights as well, such as which pages they navigate too, the amount of interactivity on each page, and even what browser/device they are using so that you can cater directly to your actual customers and visitors.
How can I get them?
Search analytics come in many forms. Google Analytics is most popular software, as it’s a free service provided by the top search engine in America. While this is a great tool, a knowledgeable webmaster can institute more insightful measurement methods that Google Analytics does not provide. While you may be able to add Google Analytics with minimal method, often you get what you pay for.
The important thing about search analytics and the information they provide is that it can be used to increase your site’s efficiency, delivering what your customers want, how they want it. That’s why we’re more than webmasters – we’re marketers that focus on results.
